 Released on the Rolling STones debut album in February 1964.
A shorten (2:50) different version whitout Ian Stewart's piano was mistakenly pressed on the first copies of the debut album in the UK.
The full-length (4:05) recording of this piano version, which appeared on the standard UK LP after the mistake was corrected, has an abrupt ending before the performance of the song finishes.
The song became the first A-side single written by Jagger/Richards to be released ever.
The Single uses an edit version (2:47) and was released in the USA on June 1964 to promote the bands First American Tour.
The song is a pop ballad, merseyside style, as opposed to all the blues songs and the Motown covers, which they were playing at the time.
Keith was playing 12-string and singing harmonies into the same microphone as the 12-string.
